Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
