Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight passage to the last 16, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

This match offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
